How to add it
Google Calendar
- Open Google Calendar on a computer â the mobile apps cannot add a subscription.
- In the left sidebar, next to Other calendars, click +.
- Choose From URL.
- Paste the URL above and click Add calendar.
Google refreshes subscribed calendars on its own schedule, often only every 8â24 hours. A date added today may take a day to appear. That is Google's behaviour, not a fault in the feed.
Apple Calendar (iPhone, iPad, Mac)
- iPhone or iPad: Settings â Apps â Calendar â Calendar Accounts â Add Account â Other â Add Subscribed Calendar.
- Mac: Calendar â File â New Calendar Subscription.
- Paste the URL above.
- Set Auto-refresh to daily.
Outlook
- Open Outlook on the web.
- Go to Calendar â Add calendar â Subscribe from web.
- Paste the URL above, name it, and click Import.
What is in the feed
- Festivals and major observances for your region, as all-day events.
- Not the recurring lunar days â Ekadashi, Pradosh, Purnima and Amavasya would add well over a hundred entries a year and bury everything else. They live on the vrat calendar.
- No times. Every entry is all-day, deliberately. A moonrise or a pradosha window is local to you, and a subscription cannot know where you are â a single national time would be wrong for almost everyone who subscribed. Those times are on the site, computed for your city.
Region, and nothing else
The subscription URL carries your region and nothing more. Your city, latitude and longitude are deliberately kept out of it: subscription URLs get copied into shared calendars, forwarded in invitations and logged by the calendar provider, and a home location is not something to scatter that way.
