Corrections
Every calendar makes mistakes. The difference between one you can rely on and one you cannot is whether it tells you when it did. This page is the record.
No corrections recorded yet.
This site is new. An empty log here means nothing has been corrected, not that
nothing has been wrong — and we will not seed it with invented entries to look
seasoned.
Reporting something
If a date is wrong for your tradition, the most useful message tells us three things: your region and sampradaya, the date you expected, and where your family's calendar or temple gets its dates. That lets us tell a calculation error apart from a difference of tradition, and the two need completely different fixes.
How we handle a wrong date
- Identify every page and feed that renders the affected date — not just the one you saw.
- Test both the published date and the proposed one against the observance's governing rule.
- Replay the rule against past years where the correct answer is already known.
- Correct whichever is actually broken: the rule, the data row, or the check itself.
- Publish the correction here with the cause, and add a test that would have caught it.
