What In short
The monsoon Teej. Women wear green, swings are hung from trees, and the Gauri puja is performed. It is the lightest of the three Teej observances โ songs and swings rather than a nirjala fast.

Why The reason behind it
Hariyali means greenery, and the festival is the monsoon's arrival made social: the land has turned green, the swings go up, and the songs sung on them are the season's. Its Gauri devotion is the same as Hartalika Teej's a month later, kept in a far lighter register.

How At home, step by step
- Hang a swing and sing the season's songs.
- Wear green; apply mehndi.
- Perform the Gauri puja; married women receive sinjara from the mother's house.
